HI

This year the year five’s are having a brilliant concert. We’re doing a story about wasting electricity, with the help of Ms Byrne. We hope to give the people an act that they came for.
We like the choice of songs and dances.

We hope it will be great!

Greetings everyone!

We always do a concert every 2 years. This year is the year that we perform. The topic is about saving the enviroment. The year 6’s are doing Bushfires. We have only started our rehersal yesterday. It will work out.

Ciao { bye!}

Students are rehearsing and the community is buzzing, welcome to what’s known as Concert Fever!!!!!! There are only 10 weeks to get it all together, sets, costumes, Dance and Drama routines and Logie winning performances. The exciting performance will showcase the talent of 740 students from prep to year 6 over two evening performances in a performance written entirely by the students for the students. The story for the spectacular production will be based around the lead character of Genie Deyonna, the Annoyed, ruler of the environment. The Genie enlists the help of 3 local kids to help her on a quest to save the environment. These characters then embark on a journey around the World and Australia learning about environmental issues and how they can have power to change things for the better.

As Drama teacher and production director i must mention how extremely proud students are of their accomplishments so far. It’s so amazing that our kids thought the environment should be the focus for the entire production. The underlying message the kids want to get across is to teach the audience about the negative impact that grown-ups have had on the environment so far.

 I just can’t wait to see it all come together.  I will keep you posted as i hope the kids will too.

Have a great day,

Sharon Byrne

PS.  We will debut the performance titled “Deyonna’s World – a concert for plant earth” on September 19th at Plenty Ranges Arts and Convention Centre, South Morang. How many sleeps away is that?
